Sean K. Brown is Managing Director and General Counsel of Valore Group. He was previously Managing Director and General Counsel of Juvo Ventures, a double bottom line venture firm anchored by Western Governors University, where from 2019 to 2026 he helped establish and managed Funds I and II, investing in tech-enabled education and workforce innovation. A licensed Utah attorney and Thurgood Marshall Fellow, he was named Utah State Bar Corporate Counsel of the Year in 2024 (UMBA). Sean is acquainted with the challenges and miracles of healthcare as his daughter went through leukemia and spent significant time working with pharmacists over the years — Sean and his wife Christy have a deep respect for Valore's vision and mission to build dynamic, modular, and self-directed care, putting people in the driver's seat.

Juvo Ventures

Juvo Ventures is a preferred seed- and Series A-focused venture capital firm Sean helped launch under Western Governors University in 2018. At Juvo, he sat on the investment committee, helped build out Fund I and Fund II, oversaw investment and oversight into 29 portfolio companies, and served on more than 20 venture-backed boards in various capacities — as director, observer, and advisor. Sean provided quarterly financials to LPs as well as oversaw creation of the annual impact report. He helped fundraise and ran management of the LLC, working with talented employees at Juvo as well as with WGU shared-service partners. Sean loves working with founders and believes in deep, connected relationships.
